Writing as a way to notice, remember, and travel with intention.
I’ve always believed that travel is about more than arriving somewhere new. It’s about noticing and paying attention to the quiet moments, the small details, and the stories that linger long after the trip is over.
I write because I’m curious. I’m curious about places, about history, and about the way landscapes shape the people who pass through them. National parks, scenic roads, and small towns have a way of slowing you down if you let them. Writing is how I do that. It’s how I make sense of what I’ve seen, learned and felt along the way.
Travel has taught me that every place carries layers of meaning. There’s the natural beauty you see first, but beneath that are the stories of change, preservation, resilience, and connection. Writing gives me the space to explore those layers and to share them with others who value depth over checklists.
I travel with my husband, but our motivation is the same: to experience places thoughtfully rather than rush past them. We’re drawn to destinations that encourage reflection-whether it’s standing at the edge of a canyon, walking a coastal trail, or watching the light shift at the end of the day.
This site exists as a place to slow the pace of travel storytelling. Here you’ll find suggestions, personal reflections, and moments that don’t always make it into a photograph. My hope is that my experiences offer inspiration-not just to go somewhere new, but to travel with intention and curiosity.
For those who like to capture their own journeys with intention, I created a simple travel journal to use along the way.
